JamWest Carribean Foods: Dedicated to Quality and Taste
Chef Patrick
Chef Patrick was born in Trenchtown, Jamaica. His inspiration in the kitchen came directly from his Grandmother who at an early age had the young chef prepping for the days meal. Patrick was influenced greatly by the Rastafarian and musical surroundings of his youth. As a young adult he became known quickly as a master in the kitchen and sought after to prepare meals for some of Jamaica’s greats. In the early days Chef turned vegetarian and has since developed an *Ital cuisine that will excite the palate of even the most diehard meat-eater.
His vision of cooking internationally from an early time in Jamaica seemed a difficult task since he had never traveled off the island. However, fate prevailed when in 1996 chef was commissioned to tour the United States with the world-renowned reggae group “Black Uhuru”. Having traveled throughout America chef made his way to Hollywood, California in 2003 where he worked privately within the catering, restaurant and club circuit.
In 2004 Patrick accepted the position as head chef at the Ginga Lion Restaurant in Studio City. It wasn’t long before celebrities and fans alike became fast followers of the chef’s unique cuisine and natural juices. He then formed his company “Reggae Flava” which became his trademark.
Together Reggae Flava and JamWest Caribbean foods are proud to announce their joint venture in bringing the taste of the Caribbean to your home, office or special occasion.
